The Departments have well equipped Laboratories furnished to international norms for young aspiring engineers. State of art computers with configuration supporting demanding applications are provided to students throughout the year.
All computers are enabled to access the Internet through a high speed (MBPS) leased lines, students can take full advantage of the net for enhancing their knowledge. Besides this there is a continuous addition of all software products. The Institute has centralized computing facilities over 400 Computers for high-end programming and Internet surfing. Availability of 10Mbps (pure) Internet connection along with Wi-Fi connectivity has made a significant contribution to the usability of the computer centre.

3. LECTURE HALLS AND SEMINARS:-
At KGI lecture halls are thoughtfully designed to induce high quality learning atmosphere. These lecture halls are well equipped with modern teaching aids like overhead projector, multimedia aids, LCD, etc.
Teaching Methodology:
Our Teaching Methodology is different from other institutes. Our stress is on the overall development of the individual as it encourages independent thinking and helps the student in developing Strong Domain Knowledge, positive attitudes etc.
The spirit of Innovation , Modernisation and student centered teaching is the corner stone of academics. We believe that discussion mode of teaching in a relaxed environment is most effective. The teaching  methodology includes-

ENGLISH LANGUAGE & COMMUNICATION SKILLS TRAINING: Our faculty members from English Department conduct basic courses for students who want to improve their language and communication skills both oral and written. It will be a combination of language work (Spoken English, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation) and study skills (essay writing, note taking, summarizing, oral presentations, discussions, etc.). This is intended to be a combination of serious study and enjoyable cultural experience.

4. SPORTS
  
The concept “HEALTH IS WEALTH” has motivated us to give equal emphasis to physical education along with the academic activates. Our college provides ample opportunities to develop physical health, positive personality and imbibe ethical social values by encouraging student’s participation in various sports activities.

5. Hostels
 
At KGI, every care is taken to provide the best facilities for students who stayaway from their homes. The hostel provides hygienic food and clean surroundings so that the inmates can live in a congenial atmosphere at affordable prices. A warden living in the premises ensures discipline and prevents any untoward incidents like ragging and other offences. The hostel also has a tie up with a health care centre located nearby so that students can avail of the medical facilities provided there in.

6. Transport
 
We have operated 12 buses during the academic year 2004-05. Which covers all the parts of the city. About 250 Students and 90 staff have been using the facility. In addition to the reqular buses. It is proposed to add 5 more buses for the academic year 2015-16

The most modern institutional canteen set up by Kalka Group  inside the Campus, which provides a wide range of  hygienically prepared nourishing North Indian and South Indian dishes for students, faculty and staff at affordable rates.
